This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Remote for VLC (Fork) and Remote for VLC (Stream Fork) (“Application”) for mobile devices that was forked by Sam Malone. The Application is a remote control for VLC media player. It also allows you to browse your media on your computer and play and enqueue it VLC's playlist.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
This application does not obtain any information about you at all. No data is collected, not even analytics. The source code is freely available to verify this.

Does the Application collect real time location information of the device?
This Application does not collect any information about the location of your mobile device.

Why does the Application require the READ_PHONE_STATE permission?
This Application uses this permission to detect a phone call so VLC media player can automatically be paused when you pick up and unpause when you hang up. This is an optional feature that can be diabled in Preferences.
